Am I overreacting to my parents’ drinking?

Hey, I’m not sure where to put this so I figured I’d try here.

I’m 16, and often when we’re out to eat, on vacation, etc… my parents will get very drunk to the point that they are slurring their words and acting obnoxious and childlike in public. I absolutely hate being in the prescence of people who are drunk like this, and after years of witnessing it it has begun to make me very upset. They often tell me once they’re sober that I’m overreacting and they were just having fun “like adults do”. Am I overreacting?
