Drinking after taking a Xanax

I’m flying to mexico and I want to take a .25mg xanax before since I have flight anxiety but I also want to drink in the evening once we get to Mexico. So probably 5 hours after taking the Xanax. Is 5 hours long enough to wait? Or should I just don’t drink at all.
