Talk to your kids about alcohol

Hey all, I’m writing this as I sit in hospital next to my 15 year old son. He went to an alcohol-free party, but stole some of our vodka anyway. To avoid being caught with alcohol, he skilled about 500ml of it. Thankfully he threw a lot of it back up, but not before a significant amount entered his blood stream. He’s going to be fine.

I realised that he had no clue what skulling so much straight spirit would do to him. Particularly given he’s young and never really had alcohol before.

Educate your kids folks. Let them know the stark difference between a 4-5% drink and a 40-50% straight spirit.
