Itchy throat and stuffy nose after drinking?

More context: I was planning on getting drunk tonight because I’ve been having a stressful couple weeks, so I bought some ready-to-drink margarita mix, a package of cheap shots, and a four loko (which was gross – i ended up pouring it out but not the point of this)

I managed to get kind of tipsy but I had to sober up very quickly because something kind of serious happened, and soon after that my throat kind of swelled up and got itchy and my nose started to run a little.

I just wanted to know if they’d had this reaction to alcohol before, it’s new to me, I’m wondering if it was from stress or if i’m gaining an intolerance to alcohol or something.
