Review: Batch & Bottle Margarita

UK-based William Grant & Sons has produced a growing range of ready-to-drink cocktails since 2022, and we’ve enjoyed their line so far, having sipped their Monkey Shoulder Lazy Old Fashioned, Glenfiddich Scotch Manhattan, Hendrick’s Gin Martini, and Reyka Rhubarb Cosmopolitan. All in all, these are well crafted premixed cocktails aimed at more sophisticated palates.

The latest addition to the lineup is the Batch & Bottle Margarita, created in partnership with Milagro Tequila. This tart mixture blends silver tequila, lime juice, and orange liqueur to create a sharp, tequila-forward profile that will appeal to those who like their cocktails stiffer. Notably, while the blend touts Milagro and says “Made with Silver Tequila” on the label, it does not actually contain Milagro Silver, but rather a different silver tequila blend sourced specifically for this recipe. That aside, this is a balanced and robust margarita. Erring on the tart side, the lime expression is bold, but the tequila sits front and center. Slightly more aggressive to my palate than I’d expect of Milagro Silver, I found this drink highly herbal, even lavendery, with a strong finish of lime.

You’ll get four stiff drinks out of the 750ml bottle.
