Has alcohol given anyone panic/anxiety

I have smoked weed before and it makes me freak out. Like it induces crazy anxiety and panic and makes me vomit. Now I have never been drunk (im 23). Does alcohol ever induce panic or anxiety? What does drinking feel like? I understand there is really only one way to truly find out but say if I drink something with a low alcohol content would it make me have a panic attack?
