what would you say is more luxurious, single malt scotch or champagne?

as a scottish person ive always been curious, single malts are relatively accessible here so i have always thought champagne. However ive wondered if this is the case elsewhere. I assume in France its probably the opposite due to domestic logistics/general perception of exotic. whats considered more luxurious? Alot of it is going to be dictated by tariffs as well
