Not feeling any effect from alcohol
I’m 20 years old and just tried alcohol for the first time. I don’t know much about the specifics but my boyfriend told me it was a drink called sake. I had somewhere around 7 shots (mouthfuls) over the course of an hour to 90 minutes and did not feel any different from normal the entire time. He was completely surprised because he told me with how much I had, I should have been at bare minimum somewhat drunk. I was still able to walk toe to heel no problem at the end, didn’t feel dizzy or lightheaded at all, etc. In other words, it’s like I didn’t drink at all even though I probably had close to half the bottle. I’m sure there could be multiple reasons for this, but wanted to ask just to see if anyone had any ideas why.
Other helpful info that may or may not help:
I’m 135 lbs, 5’9
2.I have a pretty high metabolism because I am a collegiate cross country and track runner
Coffee doesn’t really have an effect on me either, and anesthesia that the dentist gives you for your mouth also seems to never fully numb my mouth, even though they give me multiple shots
