Review: 2015 Famiglia Pasqua Mai Dire Mai Amarone DOCG
We hit Famiglia Pasqua‘s Mai Dire Mai Amarone in its 2012 and 2013 releases. We’re back again with a look at the 2015 bottling — now in current release. The 2015 Famiglia Pasqua Mai Dire Mai Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG remains a rich and raisiny experience, though this vintage feels more tart and racy than previous renditions — with more subdued tannins. Sharper notes of cherry are immediate, featuring a balsamic edge and a ring of herbal greenery, though eventually the more extracted fruit notes catch up with you. Secondary flavors of orange peel and even some tropical mango brighten up a finish, taking it into a surprising new direction.
