Made my first alcohol after being inspired by my fiance’s horrible bread wine

My fiance started making bread wine (water, sugar, bread yeast) but it was absolutely terrible (and failed most of the time) so I took the fluid from my pickled (in sugar) apples. I added some cinnamon nutmeg and cloves while it was fermenting and then after about two weeks I freeze distilled it overnight leaving me with a surprisingly strong alcohol (I felt a little tipsy after doing taste tests). I back sweetened and added a bit more cinnamon. It’s pretty good but for some reason smells and kind of tastes like overripe bananas.
