Strong mixers to mask vodka ethanol taste?

I’m pretty new to vodka but I’d love to get into drinking it more. Admittedly I’m a real scrub with alcohol in general and usually i prefer mixing it with soft drinks and such rather than creating more elegant mixes. One of my favorite ways to consume vodka recently has been mixing it with energy drinks like monster and red bull because it goes down like water and you can mix it in high concentrations without the ethanol taste being overwhelming. However, because I don’t want to die of heart failure, I don’t like having more than one energy drink mix during a session, which quickly runs my options dry since the typically suggested drinks like sprite and ginger ale taste like shite to me with vodka. Does anyone have any good suggestions for some stronger mixers that I could also enjoy similar to energy drinks, or if not, some other ideas for things I should try? Thank you!
