all i could get my hands on was everclear. im a lightweight

i just wanna get a bit drunk, but i know everclear is strong. i was thinking about mixing a shot with a can of monster at a party but i‘ve never messed with everclear before. should i reduce it to like… even half a shot? or am i overthinking it
