Review: 2023 Booker Wines My Favorite Neighbor Cabernet Sauvignon

This bottle of My Favorite Neighbor literally fell through the cracks, so we failed to include it alongside our review of the Booker Wines brand’s recently released chardonnay. Sorry!

Fruit-forward and quite young, this remains a lively and exuberant wine that shoves all thoughts of tannins to the side in favor of bright notes of strawberry and raspberry. Cherry notes are more on display as, at last, the more pastoral elements of the wine finally come into focus. Gentle anise, cloves, and hints of turned earth give the wine just enough savoriness to keep the heavy fruit complement in check, though it certainly seems able to stand up to some more.
