is my boyfriend becoming an alcoholic?

me and my boyfriend just started drinking. I went over a year ago and starting off we would do it every couple months and then it got to monthly and then weekly and I just got my wisdom teeth removed so I’m not able to drink because obviously that would bother my extraction site. Anyways, my boyfriend has been getting really moody and mad at me because we’re not able to drink and saying that we’re never gonna be able to again and this happened anytime we haven’t drank and slightly over a week. I’ve tried to talk to him about it, but he just doesn’t see it and will be like yeah exactly we’re not gonna drink again. That’s why you’re bringing it up tonight. I dropped him off and we talked about it and he left angry… please someone give me advice
