Help detecting if it’s consumable

I was helping clean out my friends dorm when we spotted a metal water bottle hidden. He doesn’t remember why it was there but when we opened it, it had a water like substance in it and turned out to be some type of alcohol after smelling it. I’m paranoid as hell and was wondering if theres anyway of testing if it’s something like whiskey I could drink or something like rubbing alcohol. Thank you
