Dyspnea after Drinking
This is my last hope to hopefully finding some answers. A year ago at 28, I went out and had a half tin of Zyns 6mg and a decent amount of alcohol all mixed (10-15 5%). I’ve done this multiple times in my life prior. That next day, I take a 3-4 mile walk as normal. Get chinese food and enjoy dinner. No zyns. No alcohol. Thats when it all came crashing down. Heart palpitations escalated. Chest felt heavy/tight. Couldnt get a deep breath of air. I waited a week to go to the hospital where I was cleared and told anxiety. Long story short, I thought I had heart failure (cleared), some type of lung issue (cleared), GERD (which I known I had but Upper GI said all good), sibo in the intestine (cleared), to now Endothelial Dysfunction (which beat supplements made me feel better but symptoms came right back.
Now, I always go out on weekends but don’t always drink. I cut beer out cause bloating made things worse with breathing for a day or two after. So here is what I noticed and want others input because I’m stressing feeling like I’m experiencing the end of something or waiting for my heart to stop. This is the layout:
One weekend I drank Jaegermeister and High Noons
I woke up the next day alright. Minor air hunger. Nothing serious. Gone next day.
This past weekend. Drank 6-8 Happy Dads (Grape) and woke up the next day okay until lunch where it all kicked in. Couldn’t breathe right. Tried doing my breath work. Still dealing with it the second day but better.
I really don’t know whats going on but keep thinking anxiety but it lasts all day (manual breathing/dyspnea). Anyone else dealing with this directly and notice a pattern? I read through so many posts and its all over the place. Figured Id make a recent one. Any luck by anyone?
I’m also looking into Alcohol Intolerance as a possibility but this does occur on random days with no alcohol sometimes. I’m not trying to go into Anaphylactic Shock or something….
Supplements Im on:
IM8 which has helped me every day….
NOW Gastro Support
Zyrtec
Omeprazole
I really appreciate any feedback at this point.
And I saw a Cardio, Pulmonologist, ENT, Endo, Gastro, Primary, and 2 ER Visits. Bloodwork always good. Doctors aren’t helping much….
