How many shots of vodka will get me drunk?

So I don’t drink, and I’m going over to a friend’s house tomorrow, and alcohol (vodka) will be involved. I was wondering how many shots will just get me tipsy, and not drunk ? Also, if I have a pretty big meal before, will I feel it less ?
