Protein in an alcoholic RTD beverage? Thoughts?
Would love some opinions here. I know a lot of people who are completely protein and gym obsessed, but those same people are also some of the hardest partiers I know. 🤣
Been noticing how protein has crept into absolutely everything lately. Waters, sodas, coffees, even snacks that had no business being “functional”.
It got me wondering about alcohol, specifically RTDs.
I’ve read that alcohol can interfere with protein synthesis by up to 37%, so on paper the two don’t technically belong together…But clearly that doesn’t stop people from drinking while still caring about macros, training, or body composition.
Genuinely interested in thoughts, because I can’t tell if this is a terrible idea or just something that feels inevitable?!
