Do you not drink at sophisticated events if you don’t like wine?

Personally, I just don’t like wine or sangria. Unsure on champagne, haven’t really tried it before. More of a fan of rum, Irish whiskey and craft beers. But you wouldn’t use those to do a wedding toast or something, right? I guess I can stand it enough for stuff like that, but I’m really not a fan.
