How does soju (jinro) taste like? (Guide for those who need it)

My thoughts and opinions on soju and how it tastes. (keyword: MY thoughts and opibions. not universal)

Soju Jinro Peach – 13% ABV, 360ml

When chilled, its quite easy to consume. the taste is slightly sour if youre a first timer. It will taste “sour” and it will stick to your mouth. But its not the lemon kinda sour. its a different kind of sour. Best to consume while cool. When its not cool, you’ll definitely taste the alcohol. Overall its quite alright. the sweetness is fine. not too little. the smell is not strong, nor is it punget. just a slightly fruity hand sanitizer smell.

Soju Jinro Grapefruit – 13% ABV, 360ml

Definitely more “sour” than the peach flavour. The alcohol taste is quite prominent. Its not all that sweet. cant really say theres a grapefruit taste to it, but to be fair ive never tried grapefruit. The alcohol taste will stick to your tongue and mouth. please consume while chilled if you want the alcohol taste to be less obvious. i only tried this flavour once. the smell is also fruity, but the hand sanitizer flavour will be stronger.

Soju Jinro Strawberry – 13% ABV, 360ml

My favourite flavour (so far). It tastes better than the peach flavour. its sweet, and the alcohol taste is not obvious as long as its chilled. if its not chill, you’ll def taste the alc. Once again, the smell is the same as the peach flavour’s smell. the strawberry flavour pairs well with the alcohol taste.

these are the three flavours ive tried so far. this is meant to help newbie drinkers or those who are curious about the taste.
