Newly 21 and tried a Screwdriver today; it was my first alcohol ever. suggestions for next time? and questions about this time.

Turned 21 three days ago; had my birthday dinner tonight and chose a Screwdriver after they didn’t have my first two preferences available; it was my first alcohol ever. Definitely looking for something sweeter and less alcohol taste-presence in the future until I’m more used to it; suggestions?

Also wondering how normal and basic my experience was because it was not fully what I expected. I have a disability and a few other health issues that cause a lot of chronic pain and after I had part of my cocktail, I decided to stop and see how I felt after some food and times, and my anticipation turned very quickly into being kind of sleepy and it felt like I had a physical weight pushing down on my shoulders. It started raining outside around the time that I had ordered, so it might have just been that because I do get pretty sleepy in the rain, but as the weight got heavier on my shoulders, I stopped having all of the consistent and constant pain that I always have throughout my body. I’d feel something hurt a little bit here or there as I reached for something or resituated in my chair which is normal, but otherwise I physically felt okay (I guess?) in the actual muscles and bones that are always aching and I felt like it was a bit too much of a coincidence for it to not be the alcohol, but I am incredibly hard to medicate and have been since I was born (I am prescribed twice the adult dose on most of my medications so that they actually work and I’ve had issues being put under for surgeries) so I did not expect it to have that effect from something with only that much vodka… I also have an interest in mixology and have been studying drink making for a while and making mocktails for over a year so I feel like I know enough about it to have understandable expectations. I don’t believe I was flushed or anything more than slightly buzzed, but the loss of non-stop pain from a chronic pain and disability was completely unexpected. I know that alcohol is famous for making the pain go away over a breakup or something else but I never thought that it would apply to chronic pain I’ve had for years, so I’m wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience or an explanation that I just have completely missed, tysm! 🫶
