How many here remove this?

I remove it because it’s annoying and slow. I get that it (what is it, an “aerator”?) prevents over-pour, but is that it’s sole purpose? I have a 100ml measuring cup that I pour into, so it’s not like I’m guessing what amount I pour.

Also, I’ve never purchased an expensive whiskey in a 1.75, it’s usually a 750ml. Is it just a cheap liquor thing?

Anyone else remove it as well? For those that don’t, why not?
