Why don’t people just buy Everclear instead of vodka?

Assuming you aren’t buying it to do shots and rather as a mixer; why don’t people just buy Everclear instead of vodka? You get twice the amount of basically flavorless alcohol for nearly the same price, meaning you can use half as much to mix and get the same buzz, making a bottle last twice as long. Also while also not diluting the flavor of the drink as much. Am I just looking at this as an alcoholic?
