What’s your advice to avoid hangover?

Hey there! I’m in my mid 30s and the age started to take their toll. I start to get strong hangovers even with half amount of what i used to drink before. Are there any tips that you can give except the basic ones? Also when the damage is done what’s your remedy to combat hangover and get well fast.
