not a first time drinker, but looking for suggestions

I’ve only been able to drink for the past four years now and I’ve only ever had fruity stuff (ie. margaritas, smirnoff ice and mikes hard lemonade), the only non fruit drink I’ve had is a moscow mule, my go to for when I want a “real” drink, ya know?

The only reason I got turned on to them was because I asked the people at the bar next to me what I should get.

I am looking for recommendations for my mom and I since neither of us are big drinkers in the first place (she does not like the taste of alcohol at all and I don’t mind it all that much) I want to preface that I cannot have any nut beers but am willing to try others. I should also say that we don’t like wine. I wanna get something semi fancy for the holidays, but on the cheaper side (like 20-30 bucks max), also looking for something available at most major retailers (we don’t live by any costal grocery stores/supermarkets)

Also, what the heck does the premade jack and coke taste like/does jack daniels have nuts in it in the first place? I keep seeing it at my local grocery and I want to try it but I also don’t want to die either, lol.
