sudden allergy????

I have always loved champagne , however when i would drink alot i would get a stuffy nose and headache . I then switched over to white claw , well the stuffy nose got VERY stuffy and it sounded like i had a cold , it wore off a few hours later , i read the ingredients and i dont see sulfites , anyone know what can cause this ?
