I cant handle alcohol

Everytime I take a drink I have to stop myself from not drinking more. I bought a wine bottle and thought about getting into wines, but its such a slippery slope with me that I realized I cant and shouldnt drink anymore. I had a substance problem years ago and I think this makes it harder for me to handle alc. Just felt like letting this out 🙂
