Tips for Sleeping After Drinking
I’m a 31 (m) and have been drinking since I was 16. Alcohol never affected my sleep until I was about 29 and then I started to notice its impact. Now I’m at the point where just 2 beers on a Friday night too close to bedtime causes me to wake up 4 hours later sweating, with no chance of going back to sleep. I can mitigate this SOMETIMES by stopping drinking a few hours before I go to sleep, but is this really all I can do? I know alcohol’s effects on sleep are well known but I’m wondering if anyone has any tricks?
