Drinking in the hospital

So how bad would you say it is, to be secretly drinking alcohol while hospitalized? I’ve actually witnessed this phenomenon a lot, both – hospital staff, and patients, getting drunk , mostly before sleep, and obviously not very much… I can imagine lots of reasons, mine currently is fear of the upcoming operation, which possibly gets rid of my tendons, so fucks up my ability to extend fingers etc, it’s also not my first time doing it, and I’m taking it real easy, but I really wanna hear random people’s opinion on this. Prolly not the most respectful, or smart move, being ill, with doctors tryna make you better.
