Advice- my friend had apnea while drunk

I’ve tried googling this and I can’t find anything useful so I thought I’d put it here. Last night me and some friends had a party and one of my friends ended up drinking a LOT. She was super incoherent, was having trouble walking and keeping her eyes open and was throwing up. She would stop breathing for like 30-60 seconds and then take really big gasps which was freaking me out. I ended up getting her to bed after a while on her side and it was fine but I’m wondering if anyone’s experienced that before and what I should have done?
