Is it normal for a bottle of wine to evaporate overnight if I forget to cork it?

So this has happened to me like 3 times now. I’ll open a nice bottle of red, have a few glasses, forget to put the cork back in, and by the next day it’s like… half gone.

I know alcohol evaporates, but that seems kinda fast? The weird part is it only happens when my roommate is home, but he doesn’t drink wine (he’s more of a “vodka straight from the freezer” guy).

Is this just how fast wine evaporates, or should I be refrigerating it or something?
