alcohol vs Caffeine

Question coming from a non-drinker : for people who like both coffee and alcohol, can someone please describe how alcohol makes you feel vs how caffeine makes you feel?

Because when I drink coffee, caffeine INSTANTLY lifts my mood, and I started wondering how similar this effect is to alcohol 🙂
