Review: NV Ulacia Txakolina Blanco

This non-vintage (or at least vintage-unlabeled) wine is made from txakolina blanco, which is not Greek as the name might sound, but rather Spanish, grown on the coast of Getaria. Bright and very acidic, with a very light frizzante note, this is a lemon/yuzu bomb that feels almost cocktail-like, it’s so effusive. The low 11% abv completes the summery theme of the wine, which layers in cleansing notes of minerally saline that work perfectly alongside the citrus attack. Crisp as could be, it’s one of the most approachable, crowd-pleasing wines you’ll find just about anywhere.
