Is it okay to mix alcohol and clonazepam?

So me and my friends only have 5 beers and there’s three of us, so my friends suggested that we put some clonazepam in them to “make them stronger” but everything I’ve read says it could kill you. Are people just over exaggerating so people don’t do stupid things, or is it actually gonna kill me??
