Lips and cheeks go numb while drunk?!

Whenever I get drunk, my face gets just a little numb, specifically my lips and sometimes my cheeks. I do not drink and get drunk often, and I’ve asked my friends if they experience this and they all have no idea what I‘m talking about. Does anyone know what’s going on?
