Sore throat the day after drinking – has this happened to anyone else?

Last night, I had like 3 shots of fireball, and a couple ciders. everything was spaced out over the course of like 6 – 7 hours.

My sleep was patchy through the night (always is if i’m drunk), but i woke up and my throat felt AWFUL. Had a chest cough for most of the afternoon into evening.

Wondering if this sore throat could be related to the fireball / just having many drinks? it feels the same as if i woke up with a Covid sore throat, lol!

It’s now later evening and the sore throat hasn’t gone away, so i guess i’m just curious about if this has or does happen(ed) to anyone else??

Just curious if it’s a ‘me’ thing, if i’m maybe catching a cold, or if this is common because of the hangover!
