Mixed cider, vodka, and blackcurrant liqueur β Le Kernβs was born ππ₯
I was playing around with some bottles I had at home and ended up with something that really hit the spot. Fruity, sparkling, a little sweet, but still strong enough to keep things interesting.
What I used (1 serving):
– 1 1/3 oz vodka (chilled)
– 2/3 oz blackcurrant liqueur (crΓ¨me de cassis)
– 1/3 oz fresh lime juice
– 2 2/3 oz brut cider (cold)
What I did:
Shook the vodka, blackcurrant liqueur, and lime juice with ice until cold. Poured it into a big wine glass over a large ice sphere, topped it with cider, gave it a gentle stir, and threw on a thin slice of red apple plus a couple berries for looks.
I called it Le Kernβs.
Kind of like a Kir Royaleβs fun younger cousin with a bit more bite.
Anyone else here use cider as a base for mixed drinks?
