Why does it take so much to get drunk?

Hi, I have a question, why does it take so many drinks for me to get drunk? I was just on vacation with friends, and it was my second and third time’s drinking ever.

The first night, i had about 6 drinks (a couple shots, mixed drinks mostly including ±1.5 shots of vodka and rum, and some wine) and I only felt a little buzzed. The second night, I had 4 shots of straight Tito’s, half a small bottle of Bailey’s, a cup of Sangria and a cup of rose, and a vodka coke. I was a bit tipsy this time, but not like my a few friends, who drank less than me and they didn’t even remember some of the stuff that happened. They are both lightweights though, so I expect that, but they drink more often than me.

Could it be because of my weight? I’m 5’7 210 lbs female, and I love eating. My friends on the otherhand who were wasted are about 5’5 and 120 lbs, so they eat less. Could me being autistic have anything to do with it??

Even the first time I ever drank, i was with them and they got hung over, but I didn’t get drunk until my friend made me a drink with everything we had in it (and this was the last thing I drank as I already had 2 beers, 2 cups of wine, and 2 vodka Cokes).

I like drinking with my friends as it’s a fun way to loosen up and act stupid together, plus were college students. But I feel like I’m missing out on the whole experience because I have to get through SO many drinks which some don’t even taste good to me to experience what everyone else is feeling.
