Tried to drink, couldn’t take whe shot, threw up immediately. Why?

I’ve got pretty wasted a couple times from vodka before. I’m not a heavy drinker or anything just once and a while. Tried to take a single shot tonight and I felt sick as soon as it hit the back of my throat so I stopped halfway through it, and then when I tried to gulp down the rest, I threw everything up immediately.

So now I’m just sitting here sober. This has never happened before, in fact I noticed vodka makes me feel way less sick than the amount of wine it would take to get the same level of drunk. It’s really sudden. Am I drinking shots wrong? Is my body like….telling me something, should I ask a doctor? What’s going on?
