Affordable alcohol in the UK

G’day guys my name is Zane and I’m and alcoholic. I’m from Australia and wine is high quality and affordable. Just moved to Scotland for work and I’m overwhelmed by the prices here. The Guiness at lidl i reasonably priced but I’m looking for something a little heavier, you can drink yourself sober on Guiness it’s 4.2% Any recommendations or suggestions are duly welcomed, whether that be online or independent stores. I’m just north of edinburgh. Thanks in advance
