period like pain after i drink

i get bad period like pains when i drink alcohol, like insanely bad. wakes me up out of a dead sleep it is SO painful. even if i drink the slightest bit, there is a chance i wake up in such bad pain. i try to use the bathroom and that kind of helps but the pressure also hurts my cramps i experience. has anyone else experienced this?
