Drinking at 8 am

I work midnights 11pm to 7am. It typically takes me about an hour to get home. I always stop at a gad station that sells liqour and beer. While everyone is there for energy drinks and coffee I am standing in line with a tallboy and shots and get strange looks. Even the clerk one time said something I said well this is my night time. Anyone else drink at 8 am?
