Dumb question, but if I just want to get drunk one night, does price-point matter when it comes to liquor?
I am not a person who “savors” a good brandy or cocktail. I generally prefer to do a shot or two of straight liquor and enjoy the effects. Alcohol is more about the destination than the journey for me.
My question is, does bottom-shelf (cheap) vodka feel pretty much the same as mid- or top-shelf vodka? Is the hangover worse with cheaper stuff? Sorry if this is a dumb question. I usually go for the mid- or higher-end stuff because I think it’s some kind of harm-reduction, but am I just kidding myself? (I drink water like a maniac when I drink and also chug a Liquid IV before bed and can usually avoid a really bad hangover.)
