75% off Mikes Harder Screwdriver stronger than it should be???

Strolled into my local gas station to find they had a table of items 75% off. On it was a bunch of 16oz cans of Mikes Harder Screwdrivers. 8%. Grabbed 6 of em for a total of $1.90 (Sticker price was $1.20 each. 75% off on top of that.) First two were good. A few sips in to the 3rd one I realize it’s noticeably stronger. Keep in mind, I’m no newbie to say the least. But the more I sip the more I realize it’s definitely NOT normal. Definitely tasted like someone poured a COUPLE shots of everclear in it (100% sure nobody actually did that). What gives? Never experienced this before. It tastes like a solid 20% ABV if I had to guess. So strong I didn’t want to finish it even after being 2 deep.
