You might not smell it, but others can and it fades after sobriety.
I never thought I had any kind of noticeable smell when I drank not booze, not B.O., nothing. But recently, someone close to me mentioned something surprising. Since getting sober over 2 months ago, they told me I no longer have that “chemical like“ smell I used to carry around.
It wasn’t alcohol breath or typical body odor. It was something different. Maybe something to do with my liver or how my body processed the alcohol, who knows. But I never noticed it myself and no one ever said anything while I was drinking.
If you’re drinking regularly, just know: people can smell it on you, even if you can’t. And once you stop, it does go away.
I guess my aura’s no longer marinated in vodka fumes. Progress.
