My first time

This is my first time making homemade beer. I used: • 350 grams of white sugar • 1 tablespoon of instant yeast • 1.25 liters of filtered water

I put everything into a plastic mineral water bottle. I poked a hole in the cap, attached a balloon over it, and tied it up. Then I placed the bottle in a completely dark place.

It’s been fermenting for about 8 days at room temperature. (21°C – 35°C)

But I’m very worried about methanol. Even though I’m not planning to distill it—only ferment—I’m still scared there might be some methanol somehow . What do you guys think?
