Apple Jim beam mixers

I recently got my hands on a bottle of the stuff. The thing is, just any flavored whiskey tends to be teeth-shatteringly sweet for me. Any recommendations on what to mix it with to make it more balanced? Or do I just stick with the usual suspect of soda & lemon juice?
