Jameson Black Barrel irish whiskey

I went to the bar today with my dad. We had some rye whiskey, some good food, then went to the liquor store. I thought about grabbing a Canadian Club 1858 9-year, but ended up getting the Jameson Black Barrel.

I kinda wish I went with the 1858. The Jameson isn’t bad, but I think it’s a bit overpriced at $40 for 750ml.

Excuse the blurry picture, take a guess why it’s blurry. What I taste is very similar to what the bottle says, but it’s a bit rough on the smoke/toasty taste. I wish those subtle sweet flavors were more forward. i forgot which ryes I had, but damn some of them were great and the varience is interesting.

5/10. Mid. Not bad, but might be the only time I have this.
