Drinking culture and young genration

Hi. I am 23 years old, I am a girl from Kazakhstan. I like to drink and hang out sometimes. About once a month, my friends and I go to a bar or club or gather at someone’s house and drink shots of tequila or rum or vodka. Sometimes a beer after that) Actually, I like to hang out and drink shots from time to time. But I have seen several articles that people of my generation, that is, the generation outside the USA and in the West, practically do not drink. Yes, I understand that they drink less than their previous generation. But is it really rare to drink with friends sometimes? Is the drinking culture and alcohol industry dying?
