Questions about wine and spirits

This is might or might be an off topic post, but I figured I’d ask anyway.

I’m interviewing for a golf course serving position in 2 days. I’ve been a server at a slightly above middle restaurant. I also have edperience as a server assistant at a fine dining restaurant. Im familar with the etiquette, basic terminolog and food terms and descriptions. I’m currently at a slightly above middle restaurant. This would be a fine dining and upscale casual serving position.

My wine knowledge is rudimentary. I know my whites and reds and the middle shelf and lower stuff.

Same case for liquor.

Is there some tips anyone would give me that has taken the time to learn about wine and spirits that might help direct me to further present myself as a good candidate for the job.
